When India.Arie first hit the scene during my freshman year in high school (1999/2000), I finally felt like I had someone who looked like me in the mainstream media. I instantly fell in love with her music (see ‘VIDEO’ here) and more-so her personal style.
Everything she wears is fused with African vibes and natural elements. Her style demands attention and she looks comfortable in her own skin. She embodies self-confidence.
