Everything is so polished now. I miss the time when people were learning and finding themselves through online mediums. Now everywhere you look they are representing their branded self and not their authentic self. To be frank, there is still beauty in being not so put together.
In that space you experiment and try new things. In that space you are still relatable and approachable. But from experience I have learned, that you are also very vulnerable. You take critique differently and you have a softer heart. So with the familiarity you gain, you will often deplete that part of you that was once open and trusting. That same heart gradually hardens and you start to lose why people loved you in the first place. You slowly become the character they like… instead of who you really are.
